Czech unemployment rate decreased to 2.6 percent in October 2017 from 5 percent in the same month a year earlier and below market expectations of a 3.7 percent
It was the lowest jobless rate since May 1997, as the number of unemployed persons went down by 95.1 thousand from a year earlier to 271.1 thousand. Unemployment Rate in Czech Republic averaged 5.57 percent from 1990 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 9.69 percent in January of 2004 and a record low of 0.09 percent in February of 1990.
