Virtual teams – that does not mean only international or even intercontinental groups of colleagues. Some researches show that team performance is noticeably lower even for teams with people located in the same building but on different floors, which makes them kind of virtual – so everybody can be a member of a virtual team, even without realizing so. Excellence in managing such a team or being an efficient member of one therefore is without a doubt a useful skill.
The main goal of this session is to define the main strengths and weaknesses of virtual teamwork and to find how to act on them. We will leave the grey theory to the articles and studies: let’s loosen our ties a bit, turn up the sleeves and jump straight into a practical simulation.
