Cultures, leadership, teams and the way organizations operate have been put to the test as a result of the pandemic. As a result, teams are becoming disengaged, workload is unevenly spread, people are close to burnout and managers are having to rapidly adjust to salvage what’s left of the culture.
Discussion forum: How to create a sustainable virtual working culture
Facilitator: Olli Torvinen
There are studies showing that virtual sessions are taking more attention and energy than traditional face-to-face ones. Still lot of people fill up their calendars with back-to-back meetings. This might happen partially involuntarily, partially willingly in order to show one’s importance to the organization. As a downside of that there are seen more and more symptoms of virtual fatigue and lacking joy of work.
We need to take responsibility of our own and our teams’ wellbeing. The current way of remote working will continue much longer than initially expected and wanted. The risk of not doing anything now is decrease of performance and even individual burnouts.
We would like to invite you to a virtual session to discuss and identify best practices how to create a sustainable virtual working culture in your environment. In a facilitated discussion you may share your worries and frustrations, learn from other’s successes and agree what kind of quick actions anybody can take to make the current working way sustainable.
