66% tackle recession by reducing operating expenses

(CIANEWS) - The ability to cope with rising inflation will be the biggest challenge for 51% of companies in 2023. Nearly half (46%) mentioned energy prices in this context. 66% plan to counter the recession by reducing operating expenses, 48% by changing their organisational structure, 27% by reducing the number of employees, 15% by reducing compensation and benefits, and 21% by increasing the price of products or services. Furthermore, the Randstad HR Trends 2023 survey conducted by Randstad and Evalueserve shows that less than one-fifth of executives are concerned about a decline in sales volume. The largest proportion of respondents (41%) expect sales volumes to remain stable and 26% expect them to increase.
