(CIANEWS) - Life in the Czech Republic will not be cheaper with the new VAT rates proposed as part of the consolidation package, 72% of Czechs think. 23% of people believe that the cost of living will be lower. 51% of respondents agree with the necessity of the proposed changes, 39% disagree. 46% of respondents understand the proposed changes, 41% do not understand them. 71% of people think the government proposals come late, 9% think they are on time. The Median survey also shows that almost 70% of respondents think that the proposed changes will not solve the growing state debt.
