(ČIA) Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANOS) met with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission (EC) and the Prime Ministers of Poland and Hungary, to discuss the development of the situation surrounding the coronavirus pandemic and vaccine orders on September 24, 2020. A. Babiš stated that it is necessary to join forces for the vaccine’s development. According to him, a product by Novavax, which will be produced in the Czech Republic, is a promising candidate. The agenda also included the approval of the budget in the European Parliament, a recovery plan, a new draft migration pact or an increase in the EU's climate goals for 2030, which the Prime Minister considers unrealistic in the Czech Republic.
