(ČIA) The Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic (AMSP) does not consider the proposal of ČSSD MPs to shorten the weekly working hours to be suitable in the current economic and pandemic situation. The AMSP considers the proposal to be a non-systemic gesture that would burden entrepreneurs as they are coping with the crisis. The documentation that counts on shortening working hours from 40 to 37.5 hours per week also proposes to adjust the minimum and guaranteed wage and the contribution for working in a difficult working environment. According to the Association, an increase in the minimum wage will be a threat to the group of workers with the lowest remuneration, as they will be laid off.
