AV ČR researchers develop genome polarisation method

(CIANEWS) - Researchers at the Institute of Vertebrate Biology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (AV ČR) have developed the so-called diem, a method of polarising genomes that allows experts around the world across disciplines to analyse genomes more easily. It can be used, for example, by archaeologists searching for Neanderthal genes in the genome of modern humans or by biologists who can track advantageous stretches of genomes and use them as biomarkers.
