(ČIA) Since the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis in the Czech Republic, 15,838 self-employed persons have suspended their business, which is a quarter more than in the same period in 2019 and 45% more than in 2018. This stems from the statistics from the consulting company Bisnode. In March, 10,033 self-employed people closed their business, and in April the situation stabilised. The most discontinued trades were in the catering segment (984 self-employed, + 19%). This is followed by wholesale intermediaries (908, + 1144%) and hairdressing and beauty services (816, + 76%).
