Bisnode: More than half of Czech firms do not pay income tax

The share of companies not paying any income tax in CR has been decreasing since 2012. Over the last six years, their share dropped by 9.3 p.p. to 50.2%. This stems from an analysis by Bisnode. The share of companies paying taxes is growing at the same time. While in 2012, 40.5% of companies were paying taxes, in 2017 the share reached 49.8%. The growing share of companies paying taxes from legal persons’ income is related to the economic boom and increasingly strict condition, such as the implementation of electronic records of sales and VAT controlling reports.
