Cross-bench MPs passed the Benn Act, essentially forcing the government to seek an extension and making a no-deal exit unlawful, just before Parliament was prorogued in a historic move by the Prime Minister. Then on Wednesday, the Scottish courts deemed the proroguing of Parliament unlawful. The Brexit date remains on 31 October, and is still the default action unless other measures are taken.
