Carlsberg launches Young Scientists Community
Scientists will build on work done at the Carlsberg Research Laboratory and can expect to work on programs such as reducing water waste and carbon footprints. The Young Scientists Community will be led by the Carlsberg Research Laboratory, which works on innovations such as purified yeast and climate-tolerant barley. The Community will have access to skills and expertise from across the group, as well as the chance to test scaling of new ideas. Key to their work will be addressing ways Carlsberg will achieve its targets under its ‘Together Towards Zero’ sustainability program, such as eliminating carbon emissions, halving water usage at its breweries by 2030, and switching to 100% renewable electricity by 2022.
