(CIANEWS) - 3% of construction companies have encountered the demand for bribes when winning contracts. This is according to CEEC Research's Quarterly Analysis of the Czech Construction Industry Q2/2023. The level of corruption in the construction industry, which is regularly monitored by the study, has been declining for a long time and is half of what it was five years ago. Some companies have encountered the demand for bribes in the private sector with private contracting authorities. Among public procurers, it is on the decline due to the digitisation of the administration process and e-procurement or the obligation to publish information in the online contract register. At 66%, the companies surveyed rarely or exceptionally violate their internal guidelines when winning a contract. Almost a third of respondents said they never violate them.
