ČEZ operates 250 charging stations, it wants to triple output

(ČIA) Group ČEZ has launched its 250th public charging station for electric cars. It is an ABB quick charging station at the parking lot of the Kaufland chain in Mladá Boleslav. In the past two years the size of the network has doubled. The volume of consumed emission-free electricity is also growing, in 2020 it expects to surpass 2.5m kWh used for the first time despite the pandemic restrictions. The overall installed output of charging points in the network is 16,300 kW. Within five years ČEZ wants to triple it to 50,000 kW. The infrastructure is being created thanks to a grant from program Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), from funds allocated by Operational Program Transport and from the own sources of the ČEZ Group.
