Companies want to be informed about energy

(CIANEWS) - The government is taking positive steps regarding gas supplies, but according to employer associations, it is insufficiently informing companies about upcoming plans, crisis scenarios, the definition of indispensable sectors, the possibilities of voluntary agreements on energy savings and recommendations on how to proceed in individual segments of the economy. The representatives of industry and entrepreneurs appeal to the Minister of Industry Jozef Síkela (for STAN) and the government to make appropriate use of the possibilities given by the Temporary Crisis Framework made possible by the European Commission in relation to the industrial sector. The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Vladimír Dlouhý, pointed out that in Germany and France they have already processed the notification of the program. The president of the Union of Industry and Transport, Jaroslav Hanák, added that if the cabinet gave the companies a signal after months of negotiations and waiting, that in the end this measure would not help them at all, they could find themselves in a very difficult situation and competitive disadvantages.
