(CIANEWS) - Almost four out of ten Czech companies that use gas in their operations cannot do without gas at all. This stems from the ČSOB Index of company expectations. Other companies and sole traders say they could cope with a gas shortage. A quarter of them would cope with a stoppage of gas supply by making minor adjustments to technologies and processes and 37% would expect large investments. A total of 40% of SMEs and entrepreneurs use gas in their business. For businesses with a turnover of more than CZK 40m, the figure is 55%. Most companies currently feel threatened by rising energy prices (47%), market uncertainty (46%) and fuel prices (45%).
