Czech branch of Sweden’s Ljunghäll to invest CZK 1.3 billion in new foundry
Together with a downstream machine tooling plant, the total costs will stand at CZK 1.3 billion. “The new machines will enable us to make bigger casts weighing up to 25 kg,” says Martin Sladkovský, director of Ljunghäll’s Czech branch. The automotive sector will remain the principal buyer of Ljunghäll’s casts. The investment is connected with new orders acquired last year and the management’s plan to increase sales from CZK 678 million last year to CZK 1 billion in 2019 and CZK 1.2 billion in 2020. Ljunghäll also plans to increase the number of employees from 300 at present to 600 in 2020.
