(CIANEWS) - In the future, the Czech Republic should rely primarily on nuclear and renewable energy sources. This is according to a survey conducted by IBRS - International Business & Research Services, with 96% of the population considering the country's self-sufficiency in energy supply to be crucial. The development of nuclear energy is supported by 70% and renewable energy by 74% of respondents, while 53% see the future of Czech energy in a combination of the two. According to 79% of Czechs, the situation in Ukraine is more or less influencing the energy sector. They fear that if energy self-sufficiency were lost, prices would rise sharply (78%) or the stability of electricity supply would be threatened (60%). Only 3% support coal sources.
