DPP opens tender for tram line on Wenceslas Square

(CIANEWS) - The Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) has announced a tender for the contractor for the construction of the tramway line on Wenceslas Square and related public space modifications. The subject of the contract is, among other things, the construction of a roughly 600 m long double-track tram line, the repair of the ceiling slab of the vestibule of the Muzeum metro station, the construction of a retention and accumulation tank for rainwater and the planting of new trees. The estimated value of the contract is CZK 1.25bn. The construction is expected to start in H1 2023. It should last a maximum of 48 months. DPP further informed that it is also preparing the construction of the connecting Museum tram line. It plans to announce a tender for its contractor in 2023 and to start construction at the earliest in late 2024/early 2025.
