(ČIA) On March 30, 2022, the European Commission presented a package of proposals under the Green Agreement for Europe to make sustainable products the norm in the EU and to promote circulating business models and improve the position of consumers in the context of green transformation. Under the new rules, almost all physical goods on the EU market should be more environmentally friendly, more circulating and more energy efficient throughout their life cycle, from design to daily use, disposal and reuse. At the same time, the EC also presented a new strategy based on more durable, repairable, reusable and recyclable textile products. Its aim is to reduce fast fashion, the volume of textile waste and the disposal of unsold textile goods, and to ensure that textile products are produced without violating social rights. The third proposal aims to strengthen the internal market for construction products and to establish a legal framework to help meet the climate and sustainability objectives of the built environment.
