EPIF plans carbon neutrality by 2040

(ČIA) EP Infrastructure (EPIF) plans to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040. It wants to reduce CO2 emissions from existing heating plants by 60% by 2030. The company expects that coal as a primary resource will be fully replaced by emission-free or low-emission alternatives such as biomass, natural gas or municipal waste. EPIF adopted a set of policies ESG in March 2021 and updated them in April. These policies cover, for instance, asset integrity management, cybersecurity and workforce diversity.
