(ČIA) The added value of the implementation of the fifth generation of mobile networks (5G) and the thus accelerated digitization of the Czech economy amounts to CZK 101.6bn. According to a survey by Analysys Mason, the revitalisation caused by 5G technology will bring CZK 4.43tn to the whole of Europe. However, according to the study, the Czech Republic is lagging behind in the process of introducing 5G and is below the EU average. Ericsson's Executive Vice President and Director for European and Latin American Markets, Arun Bansal, said that 5G is key to the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence technologies and the acceleration of the digitalisation of industries such as healthcare, education and transportation. Production (especially smart factories), the countryside and the city, and public services in general will benefit most from the digital transformation, for which 5G is one of the prerequisites.
