CIANEWS) - The Czech government does not plan to cut VAT on food products, said Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS). He added that under the Cabinet Manifesto, they could regulate excise tax. Minister of Agriculture Zdeněk Nekula (KDU-ČSL) added that a lower tax on food products meant a risk that it would not be reflected in decreased prices. Food product prices cannot go down unless gas and electricity prices drop, he added.
