The purpose of the award is to honour “the best in the product design globally with the goal of advancing the appreciation of design worldwide”. Each design submitted to the competition was evaluated based on innovation, function and form. ‘Star’ baby monitor by SEP Solutions landed a double gold in the Children Products subcategories of Safety and Baby Products. Another double winner was Finishfire, which picked up silver for its charging platform in Home Interior Products/Interior Furniture and bronze for its frame that covers fire-extinguishing equipment in Industrial and Life Science Design/Safety Designs. Ari Korolainen’s ‘Nice to meet you’ business card holder made of recycled leather was bestowed bronze in the Office Equipment/Stationery category, and ‘Etcet Cat Floating Houses’ by Guy Design were awarded gold in Transportation/Nautical/Boats.
