(CIANEWS) - The balance of foreign trade in goods at current prices ended in June 2022 with a deficit of CZK 12.1bn, an increase of 3.4 % year-on-year. This follows from the preliminary data of the Czech Statistical Office. The Czech Republic's trade balance with EU states improved by CZK 20.0bn. The trade deficit with countries outside the European Union deepened by CZK 23.0bn. Domestic exports rose year-on-year by 15.3 % to CZK 394.2bn and imports by 15.9 % to CZK 406.3bn. In January-June 2022, the trade balance showed a deficit of CZK 76.0bn, while in the same period of 2021 it ended with a surplus of CZK 76.2bn.
