(ČIA) Adjusted for price effects and seasonality, gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.3% y/y in 2021, boosted by final consumption expenditure and a change in inventories, while external demand had a negative impact. This is according to a preliminary estimate by the Czech Statistical Office. In Q4 2021, GDP increased by 0.9% q/q and by 3.6% y/y. Employment rose by 0.1% last year. In the last quarter, employment was unchanged from the previous quarter, rising by 1.3% y/y.
