(CIANEWS) - The Czech government has approved the contribution to cover costs for electricity, natural gas and heat proposed by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade. The average support amount will be roughly CZK 15,000, while each household will receive approximately CZK 4,000 in 2022. The assistance combines a contribution via the savings tariff and waiving the fee for renewable energy sources, which totals CZK 599 per MWh of electricity. The waiving of the fee applies to households, firms and organisations alike. At a press conference after the meeting of the government, Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) said that the government had allotted a total of CZK 177bn to help citizens with inflation.
