(ČIA) The government has approved a law that will enable the issuance of a compensatory reimbursement decree, which will take into account the impacts of COVID-19 on health care providers and increase reimbursements by CZK 5bn compared to the current budget. The legal regulation will then ensure by adjusting compensation mechanisms that the expected shortfall in the production of paid services, which the Ministry of Health currently estimates at up to ca. CZK 30.5bn, will be compensated to providers at the latest in the 2021 bills up to the limit of the planned costs of the public health insurance system for 2020 according to the payment decree for this year.
