Government approves amended budget with CZK 330bn deficit
(CIANEWS) - The Czech government has approved an amendment to the state budget for 2022. After the amendment, total budget incomes should be CZK 1,678.3bn, and total expenditures should amount to CZK 2,008.3bn. The estimated budget deficit thus totals CZK 330bn. Additional budget expenditures primarily react to the need to compensate for some negative impacts of the war in Ukraine, especially high inflation, increased energy prices, and related threats to low-income and vulnerable populations. The MPs should discuss the budget amendment in September.
