Government caps energy prices for large companies

(CIANEWS) - The Czech government has finalised legislation on the energy price cap for large companies, which is based on the temporary crisis framework negotiated within the EU. Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) said that the caps will be the same as for smaller companies and households, i.e. at CZK 3 per kWh for gas and CZK 6 per kWh for electricity. Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela (STAN) said that the limits of the maximum possible subsidy had also been set. Companies are divided into five groups according to the type of operation, focus and other criteria. The basic amount of aid amounts to CZK 48m.
