Government to reactivate advisory body NERV

(CIANEWS) - The government has decided to resume the activities of the National Economic Council of the Government (NERV). Its task will be to initiate and propose principles and parameters for reforms of key public systems that have a dominant impact on sound public finances, the competitiveness of the Czech economy and the transparency of the public sector. Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) said that the renewal is a response not only to the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, but also to the consequences of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. The government advisory body will have 19 members and its coordinator will be the chairman of the board of the Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation, Jan Procházka.
