According to the Czech Chamber of Commerce (HK ČR), the current proposal of an electronic sick note prepared by the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is unsystematic and incomplete and will make the work of employers and physicians significantly more complicated. The HK ČR pointed out that the documentation had not been subject to a proper legislation procedure in which employers could raise their objections. The HK ČR considers the proposed effectiveness as of July 1, 2019 unrealistic, because for the time being even the test phase has not proven itself. The Chamber further criticises that the current wording of the law counts on an eight-day deadline for the processing of an employer's request to provide data about their employees' temporary inability to work. According to the HK ČR, the data should be available automatically and online, and not on request with a delay.
