HK: Firms invest in energy savings, robotisation

(CIANEWS) - Almost three-quarters of firms plan to invest in the first half of 2023, most frequently in energy savings (two-fifths). More than a quarter of them will focus on streamlining activities by changing production technologies, according to a survey published by the Czech Chamber of Commerce (HK). One-quarter of companies plan to invest in employee development, automation, digitalisation and robotisation. Companies invested more than announced in the second half of 2022, namely by 4.6 pp. According to Chamber president Vladimír Dlouhý, the situation is hinting at an improving entrepreneurial sentiment, among other things, also due to a more favourable development on export markets and a growing certainty with regard to energy prices development.
