Huhtamaki plans massive investment in the Czech Republic
The corporation bought Prague-based manufacturer of foils and labels Fiomo last year and plans to complete the reconstruction of its production facility in Přibyslavice. Huhtamaki has invested €8 million in new machinery and technologies in the past two years and is set to spend another €15 million in the next four years. The corporation’s investment in Přibyslavice is projected to exceed CZK 60 million in total. Huhtamaki posted a global turnover of €2.86 billion, with EBITDA rising by 19 percent to €380 million last year. The corporation supplies food packaging to McDonald’s, Nestlé, Tesco, Kaufland and others, aiming to cover its Central and East European supplies from the Czech Republic. (IHNed.cz)
