IKEA employs 40 refugees, launches support program

(CIANEWS) - IKEA has developed a Refugee Competence Development Programme to help refugees enter the labour market. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager Roman Bojko told ČIANEWS, adding that the original plan was to recruit 32 new colleagues from this group over three years. The current plan is to double that number. Currently, there are about 40 colleagues from Ukraine working in IKEA stores in the Czech Republic. The furniture retailer wants to support those who are looking for a chance for a new life here in the Czech Republic. Participants can expect up to 100 hours of Czech language courses and a workshop focused on the job interview and selection process.
