IKEA sold 6,000 second-hand furniture items, demand up

(CIANEWS) - IKEA sold over 6,000 pieces of second-hand furniture in the 2022 financial year. According to Sustainability Manager Barbara Kotoun, there is growing interest in this service, as well as in the Guaranteed Buy-Back of children's furniture. IKEA sees great potential in resale and additional circular services related to second-hand products. To extend the life cycle of furniture, the retailer also offers spare parts, which were ordered by almost 9,000 customers in the year. On the website, interested parties can find a map of places where unwanted furniture can be dropped off.
