IKEA’s sales in Czech Republic close to CZK 11 billion

The company posted a profit of CZK 1.2 billion in its annual report, with more than 10 million shoppers. The performance was boosted by e-shop sales as an average customer spent over CZK 9,000 in IKEA’s online store, compared to CZK 1,745 spent in “brick and mortar” stores on average. The furniture chain plans to open new delivery points in seven Czech cities, Hradec Králové, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice, Plzeň, Ústí nad Labem, Liberec and Zlín. IKEA has been active on the Czech market since 1996, operating four stores, two of them in Prague, one in Brno and one in Ostrava.
