InteriorMin to call meeting due to Constitutional Court verdict on elections

(ČIA) UPDATE - Interior Minister and ČSSD Chairman Jan Hamáček will convene a meeting with other political parties due to the verdict of the Constitutional Court (CC) regarding elections. At the meeting, the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic is to present alternative solutions. Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) said that the CC is trying to influence the political situation in the Czech Republic, which is not its job. According to the Prime Minister, Constitutional Judge Pavel Rychetský is not impartial. A. Babiš added that the decision will make future governments ineffective, that the Chamber of Deputies will be dysfunctional and that it will be almost impossible to form a government majority. According to Chairman Petr Fiala, ODS will participate in the new form of the electoral law. He wants a solution that is stable and long-term. Pirate Chairman Ivan Bartoš, stated that the CC confirmed their opinion that the votes of voters must have the same weight.
