(ČIA) Digital transformation will be one of the key areas to help European industry become more resilient and competitive, especially in times of crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček (for ANO) in a video conference of the EU Competitiveness Council. The Czech Republic aims to exceed the share of investment of 20% in digital transformation within the recovery plan. At the meeting, the Czech Republic also emphasized the need to set suitable conditions for energy-intensive industries within the EU energy transition and called for the maintenance of the system of free allowances within the EU emissions trading system until 2030.
