(ČIA) The Liberal Institute (LI) has conducted a study that proves that food self-sufficiency is an expensive and dangerous idea. He argues that the legislative proposal to increase food self-sufficiency is anti-consumer, non-ecological, illegal and helps large companies such as AGROFERT. The director of Financial Sector Services at KPMG and the co-author of the study, Mojmír Hampl, suggests that the state support Czech producers in government purchases, but not force the same upon the consumer.
