Lidl supplies Prague stores with Volvo FE Electric
(CIANEWS) - Lidl Czech Republic, in cooperation with the carrier C.S.CARGO, started supplying its stores in the center of Prague with a fully electric Volvo FE Electric truck in a refrigerated version. Recharging takes place directly at the chain's distribution warehouse in Buštěhrad or at its selected stores. The vehicle was intensively tested by both companies in 2021. In the same year, the chain also included a vehicle powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) in its fleet. It thus fulfills its strategy to reduce its operational emissions by 80 % by 2030 compared to 2019. The company Volvo Group Czech Republic informed about this, saying that since 1999 it has concluded contracts with the carrier for 322 new trucks. The first BEV is registered under number 323.
