M. Kupka: Some EU members want to postpone EURO 7

(CIANEWS) - The Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Portugal have reservations about the draft EURO 7 emission standard and will demand a postponement of its entry into force. Some countries are also asking for a relaxation of their parameters. This is the main conclusion of the meeting of transport ministers in Strasbourg. Czech Minister Martin Kupka (ODS) said that the aim is to change the form of the standard so that it is feasible for the European car market and does not damage it against other global competitors. At the same time, however, it is necessary to maintain efforts to reduce emissions from transport. Ministers will prepare a joint document to be submitted to the European Commission.
