(ČIA) A total of 10% of employers expect an increase in the number of labour in the third quarter of 2020, whereas 14% assume its decrease. A survey by ManpowerGroup further showed that the net labour market index for the Czech Republic was at -4%. Seasonally adjusted, the labour market index was at -8%, the lowest value in the history of the survey in the Czech Republic since 2008. The segments of accommodation and catering with an index of -19% (10% recruiting and 29% laying off) are reporting the weakest recruitment plans. Weak recruitment activities will also be in the segments of finance, insurance, real estate and other services for companies (-8%). Processing industries are reporting -6% and the construction sector 0%.
