(CIANEWS) - On November 23, 2022, the European Parliament (EP) adopted a resolution on the latest developments in Russia's brutal aggression against Ukraine, and MEPs recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and one that uses terrorist means. The EP therefore called on the European Union to further isolate the Russian Federation in the international environment, such as the UN Security Council, and demands further restrictions on diplomatic relations with Russia. MEPs also called on EU Member States in the Council to complete work on the ninth package of sanctions against Moscow as a matter of urgency.
