(CIANEWS) - Metrostav Norge, a subsidiary of Metrostav, is currently completing the conversion of the Kronstad railway tunnel into a tunnel for cyclists and pedestrians in Bergen, Norway. It is 370 meters long and the excavators are expanding its width by 4.5 meters. As already reported by ČIANEWS, work began in November 2021. In parallel with this work, the company is participating in the extension of the metro to the northwest suburb of Järfäll in Stockholm, Sweden. The contract, which includes 4 km of line tunnels and two new stations, should be completed in the spring of 2023. In the Scandinavia, Metrostav has launched 35 km of tunnels since 2006 and built other works.
