(CIANEWS) - The Czech Presidency has agreed with the European Parliament (EP) on the form of a regulation setting carbon dioxide (CO2) emission targets for passenger cars and vans. The agreement includes targets for a gradual reduction of CO2 emissions to 100% by 2035. Industry and Trade Minister Jozef Síkela (for STAN) said the way had also been opened for the registration of vehicles with internal combustion engines powered by climate-neutral fuels. Outgoing Environment Minister Anna Hubáčková (KDU-ČSL) added that the Czech Republic should receive another CZK 100bn for decarbonisation under the Fit for 55 package.
