(ČIA) Representatives of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) and the Czech Energy Sector Alliance have discussed the construction of another unit at the Dukovany nuclear power plant and the involvement of the Czech industry in the actual implementation. They unanimously agreed to support the participation of as many Czech firms as possible in the project. Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček (for ANO) said that the Czech industry needed to maintain high competencies in the broadest possible range of specialisations related to nuclear energy. He added that companies had to have enough orders before the construction began. Therefore, the Ministry supports Czech firms in terms of constructing new nuclear sources in the Czech Republic and in their export activities.
