(CIANEWS) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (MPO) has sent draft implementing regulations to the amendment to the Energy Act, which introduce the so-called energy-saving tariff, to the interdepartmental comment procedure. As early as 2022, every household that has a contract with an electricity supplier will receive assistance. Minister Jozef Síkela (for STAN) said that the department proposes to distribute over CZK 10bn as the first part of the aid and another CZK 30bn at the beginning of 2023. Furthermore, the state will waive fees for renewable resources to households. This means that from October 2022, people will save CZK 599 for every MWh of electricity consumed.
