(CIANEWS) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) announced a call from the National Recovery Plan to support the construction of 5G network base station infrastructure. Industry and Trade Minister Jozef Síkela (for STAN) said the programme will help cover the entire Czech Republic with a quality signal and internet connection. Under the programme, the ministry will focus on localities where 4G and 5G networks do not exist and there are no plans to build them. CZK 300m is allocated in the call. The ministry said applications can be submitted until June 5, 2023. Base stations in selected areas must be built and commissioned by March 31, 2026.
