MPs approve CZK 500bn budget deficit in first reading
(ČIA) The Chamber of Deputies has approved a draft budget deficit of CZK 500bn in first reading. Finance Minister Alena Schillerová (for ANO) said that the amendment in reaction to the crisis related to the COVID-19 pandemic would allow needed investments and continued aid for the Czech economy. The draft will now be forwarded to the Committee on the Budget.
